Hi everyone. There was a lot that went on this weekend, so let’s get on with the recap. On Friday, Lem gave a Bible study message to a packed house on what a “Real Community” looks like. And A2F sure resembled the picture of a real community, a packed room of students of various diversity gathering on a Friday night to ask about the big questions in life, build meaningful relationships, and go through college life together.

This room is so packed, the way someone can come in is through the roof…

After Bible Study, A2F played some sports and had a fun fellowship time.

Man… It’s been such a long time since I played on these courts… Brings me back to my college days.

Faster guys! I think we can beat Usain Bolt in the 100 meter!

Then the next day, we went and checked out Picnic Day together.

Man it sure was hot on Picnic Day! We need firefighters to put out the heat!!

The fun-filled weekend continues… On Saturday, A2F went on a trip out to the city by the bay! Our day’s adventure began with a leisurely walk on the Golden Gate Bridge. It was such a dazzlingly clear day that we could see the entire Bay Area from where we were! In fact, peering westwards into the vast Pacific Ocean, one can even spot the islands of Japan in the distance. Needless to say, there were tourists everywhere – they were all in SF to catch a glimpse of UC Davis students out of their natural habitat.

Raise your hand if you forgot to brush your teeth this morning!

Up next, our SF insider took us to a secret dessert place at the heart of Russia/Korea town that served fruity indulgences whose sugar content surely exceeded the legal limit for sweets. Good thing we didn’t let the nutrition police come with us on this trip!

Getting ready for a sugar overload...

Fresh from our sugar high, we descended upon a very windy Ocean Beach. Immediately, we were met with a barrage of sandy bullets. But we stood our ground, and together we marched against the wind into the vast seashore. To commemorate our brave resistance, we posed for a wallpaper-worthy picture that will certainly strike fear on any who dare oppose us.

Afterwards, A2F also had a chance to showcase the finest of our ballistic rocket missiles. It was an exhibition of speed, power, and precision. Here are some shots of the A2F arsenal in action…

After the day’s efforts, we traversed the Bay Bridge for our next conquest…the pho restaurant at Ranch 99 in the East Bay! Those Vietnamese rice noodles didn’t stand a chance against the ferocious and hungry A2F militia….

Hi everyone. Hope you had a fun weekend with us, playing fercious games at Hart Hall and then enjoying sports and breathtaking views in the Bay Area. Checkout the full recaps of our events below. For this week, we are continuing our a2f “The Friday Night” Bible Study at the ARC Meeting Room 1 at 7pm. Dinner will be provided so no need to stop by the DC. After a2f TFN, we are going to play some sports on a nice turf field. If you enjoyed our sports time on the SF beach, you’ll gonna want to come back for this second round of sports mania!

What an exciting weekend! It all began on Friday night with our A2F Spring Welcome. After a scrumptious dinner, we broke some ice by playing a brand new game called “Vegeta-bowls” (a.k.a “Veggie Head”) where we all transformed into “bowl-heads” and we passed various vegetables from head to head. Sounds silly? It sure is!

This new game is making our heads go bananas!

After digesting our dinner with all those vegetables raining on our heads, we had our Bible study where we got a chance to think about the direction of our lives. Are we like the “Nowhere Man” that the Beatles sang about? Are we letting the “Three Great Pursuits of Man” hinder us from coming to the Great Banquet? And is there something more to our lives than just trying to make it through the day?

The song that invites us to find out for ourselves if there indeed is something more to this life...

After Bible study, we had more food and more silly fun…it is time for “Best of the Best” with Nate and Ding (feat. DJ Dea)!

The ultimate test of friendship...synchronized jumping!

Before the battle begins, the contestants intimidate one another with ferocious poses. David Lee looks like he is shaken with fear...

While the contestants were strutting their stuff and doing their best to impress, the rest of us enjoyed loads of stomach-twisting laughter at their expense!

ha ha ha ha ha ha!

If laughter is the best medicine, then perhaps some of us experienced miraculous healings that night!
